The short version
Our binaries don't phone home. No analytics, no Sentry, no anonymous usage data. The only network call any tool makes is an update check on cold start — disabled with one flag in the config file. This page exists because European law says it has to. The actual privacy posture is one sentence: we don't collect what we don't need.
What the website collects
Vercel hosts this site and logs request IPs in standard server logs (retained 7 days). We use Vercel Web Analytics, which is cookie-free and does not track you across sites.
If you fill out the contact form, we get your email and your message — saved in our inbox until we reply, then archived. We do not sync your contact info anywhere else.
What our binaries collect
Nothing. Each binary runs locally, reads only the system resources it explicitly needs (e.g., QuickPick reads clipboard, TabSweep reads browser windows), and writes only to the files you ask it to write to.
The update check sends two pieces of data: the current version string and the OS family ("darwin-arm64", "win11-x64"). No machine ID, no user ID, no IP beyond what the HTTPS handshake exposes.
Payments
We use Paddle as our merchant of record. They store the data they need to charge your card and remit VAT — name, email, card last 4. We see the name, email, and country only.
Your rights
If you've bought a tool from us, you can email hi@desktoptools.net any time to export, correct, or delete the data we hold about you. Bundle customers can request the source mirror to verify exactly what their binaries do.
Cookies
This site uses zero cookies. The auth-free Vercel Web Analytics works without them.
